Train to teach with the Rochdale Pioneers Partnership
The attainment, completion and employment rates of our trainees are consistently above national averages.
Schools are taking more control of Initial Teacher Training. With the school-led programme, you will spend more time based in schools and classrooms than you would on a traditional PGCE course.
All training is delivered by current outstanding practitioners from within our Alliance and is wholly school-based.
Trainees complete the training with many more hours classroom experience than those who have followed a university-led route, leaving them more confident and skilled as they embark on their NQT year.
Ofsted June 2019 quotes
“The partnership benefits from strong leadership. Leaders are reflective and
“The partnership is built on strong relationships and effective collaboration.
Leaders model this way of working to their trainees so that they are
equipped with the skills and qualities to form similarly positive relationships
in their own practice.”
“Trainees value the highly personalised support that they receive. This timely
support has a positive impact on the progress that trainees make during their
training and into their first year of teaching.”
“Trainees are highly successful in gaining employment in local schools. NQTs
are well prepared for their roles and able to make a strong contribution to
their employing schools.”
